Shannon of Shrimpmeat and Sanne Lambert

By Randy Gaudreau

Longtime bastion for local musicians, FacePlant Studios, located just west of Commercail Drive, is celabrating 10 years of offering community musicians a place to jam. Ever since '95, FaceFest has raised some extra cash for the jam space, and the ever expensive equipment repair and replacements. Musicians can be a destuctive bunch. For six bucks, you can see a rather large and talented army of local musicians (about 12) crank out their best and with each band having about 15 minutes of time, you can be sure that it will be a free-for-all, all-out barrage of Vancouver talent. Check'em out and support Vancouver's up-and-comers at the Anza Club, on the corner of 8th Avenue and Ontario Street, Friday, Aug. 16. The doors open at 8 p.m.
